Castle Design

For this weeks project, I was tasked with making a castle using basic geomatry and some of the following commands in Rhino 3D:

        - extrude

        - loft (which I didn't use)

        - revolve

        - move

        - copy

        - rotate

I also used the Boolean Difference command to cut shapes out, so Im just going to call it the cut tool from here on out, including future posts

My first step was to make the layout of the walls, I also decided to make a walkway on the top of the wall hence for the extra circles.

The second step was to use the extrude command to get the cylinders ready for the cutting command (aka Boolean Difference) as shown with the image below.

Next I followed the same steps as the walls to make towers along the perimeter

With floors to stand on, of course

Next I used a circle and square to make an arch way to get inside. I then extruded the shapes and cut them from the walls

And finally, I switched to render and applied materials to the model.

Stone bricks for the walls and cashew wood for the floors

Overall, I had a lot of fun making this, and I plan on making another in the future but with more details.
